No, it's not a misprint. A NY politician actually tried to pass a law that gave suspects the right to fight back if arrested. We're not talking about an unlawful search and/or seizure here. We're talking about a cop making a perfectly legal arrest and allowing the typical street scumdog to use whatever force he deems necessary to persuade him otherwise.
And that's all you really need to know about liberals.
