Teen Detained Intended to Hijack Plane, Crash Into 'Hannah Montana' Concert

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — "Southwest Airlines says a California teenager was detained after an incident on board a flight from Los Angeles to Nashville.

Southwest Airlines spokeswoman Brandy King says the passenger was removed from Flight 284 Tuesday night by authorities at Nashville International Airport.

King declined to provide additional details. Airport spokeswoman Emily Richard confirmed there was an incident, but could not provide more information because the passenger was a minor.

WSMV and WTVF in Nashville reported the teenager boarded the plane in possession of handcuffs, rope and duct tape with intentions to hijack the plane. A message left by The Associated Press to the FBI, TSA, Department of Homeland Security and Nashville police were not immediately returned.

WSMV first reported the teen wanted to divert the plane to Lafayette, La., and crash it into a "Hannah Montana" concert."

Handcuffs. Rope. Duct Tape.

Sounds like my younger years when I was still dating in NYC.

Kudos to the screeners. NOT.
