Typical Booger fuckup. First they email me that since Booger has been revamped I must needs change my password or risk losing the blog altogether, and of course once I did it failed to recognize me at all.
And not for nothing but the new template for posting sucks.
Progress.
I was taken aback when Mr. Fancy Schmancy shouted "A pox on both your houses!" as I was unaware that he knew of my summer home. Mourning
I've been feeling much better as of late and was contemplating a return to my usual longwindedness.
Today, April 9, at noon, my Mom died. Three months shy of her 81st birthday; a long and fruitful life.

Scam 101
From the gutter dwellers at Cutlery Corner
"...the knife handles are made from Delrin, the stuff bowling balls are made of..." Todd Boone
Delrin is a Polyoxymethylene trademarked by DuPont and is not used in the manufacture of bowling balls. It is highly doubtful that Chinese manufacturers are actually using Delrin for anything let alone bowling balls, but far more likely substituting any number of their knockoff plastics, just like they do with Teflon; mixing a home brew of low grade PTFE's and labeling them Teflon.
Delrin is used for knife handles, so at least they got that correct, but as usual the carnival barkers have to embellish with lies in order to make their potmetal products appear more appealing and valuable.

Return of the Sting
I've tried to keep Frost Cutlery honest, but truth be told it'd be a full time occupation in order to keep old Jim compliant with even the minimums of human decency.
Yes, there have been some victories; they no longer steal copyrights and patents from "most" genuine knife companies. After notifying Kershaw that Frost had stolen their "Speedsafe" name for assisted opening knives, Kershaw came down hard on the old queen and that not only brought a halt to such mention on Cutlery Corner, but even on the website that proudly proclaimed "Speedsafe" to be proprietary to Frost.
No more stealing the Spyderco assisted opening hole and naming Frost look-a likes as "Spider-Eyes", gone are the days of borrowing the Boker "Bone Collector" name and design, and Case has even stopped the crooks from purloining their "Sod-Buster" names and configurations. Although ALL of the hosts skirt the issue by saying "we can't call them 'Sod-Busters' anymore", at least they've admitted the theft.
Not that most of the cretins who worship at the feet of queen Jim just so they can revel in keeping slavery alive and well in China take exception to such blatant robbery, but even small victories are better than ignominious defeats.
But ya can't win 'em all because the "trainloads of whitetail stag" have reared their thieving Frost heads again.
Germany, from whence the blade steel reportedly derives, does not have Whitetail Deer as an indigenous species. Neither does China, nor India. But the bragging has begun again. We shamed them early in in 2011 by describing the ridiculous assertion that somehow, someway, Frost found a railway line that could reach from Solingen, Germany to the knife factories of China just so's he could import Whitetail antler.
So for those who've not seen an Atlas nor learned to spot a swindler, here we go again.
Let's go over this one more time because it bears repeating. The stag handles cannot be Whitetail. The steel cannot be freighted via rail from or to Germany. The Chinese simply order whatever they need to fool the American public, stamp "made in Germany" and/or "Whitetail" then fill their orders so that simpletons can brag about what a terrific purchase they made; all the while hoping that these same simpletons don't notice the tiny "Made in China" that is all but hidden from casual view, and even if they do are by now so confused they simply believe the old queen and his commie partners.
(And no, railway lines do NOT reach from Tennessee to China either.)
As I've said time and again; who cares about the price and/or quality of what you buy. Just be aware that you've been lied to, swindled, and the old queen is laughing all the way to the bank because you are so fucking stupid.

Mosin Sighting In
This is how one adjusts the Nagant for its abominable front sight picture designed to be a Nazi belt-buckle-popper at 300 yards.
The link is here, and I'll let ya know how it works soon.
Oh and by the way, one ragged hole at 50 yards is not only possible but quite doable. With decent enough ammo but of course.

Jimmy Carter Sends Condolences To Norks
Former President Jimmy Carter has sent North Korea a message of condolence over the death of Kim Jong-il and wished "every success" to the man expected to take over as dictator, according to the communist country's state-run news agency.
A dispatch from the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said Mr. Carter sent the message to Kim Jong-un, Kim Jong-il's son and heir apparent.
"In the message Jimmy Carter extended condolences to Kim Jong Un and the Korean people over the demise of leader Kim Jong Il. He wished Kim Jong Un every success as he assumes his new responsibility of leadership, looking forward to another visit to [North Korea] in the future," the KCNA dispatch read."
READ ON as Messenger-Leaks exposes more of the letter sent by Mr. Carter:
"...ma condolences for the loss of a man so close to ma heart. We shared so very many life experiences and came to agree that no one can fulfill the love a man needs like another man can. For instance, I was so happy to discover that your Daddy would come into your room to play find-the-pickle whenever your Momma wasn't home, because that is exactly what my Daddy did with me.
...and as how you're going to get along with President Obama, well don't you have a care son. Just looky at all them photos of him a bowin' and a' scrapin' to every third-world tinhorn. The boy will bend over backwards for you so don't be havin' no never-minds.
All my love,
Uncle Jimmy

Bestiality In The Military's Future?
Here's the dilemma in a nutsack, er, shell:
Section 125 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice FORBIDS carnal copulation with a member of the same sex...or...an animal. In the same sentence, even.
But since the military has now asked Congress to rewrite the UCMJ so that gays can fornicate one another without reprimand, Section 125 cannot simply be erased because Squids (Sailors) would be nailing dolphins to beat the band.
Now remember, back in the good old days fluggin a goat was considered just as disgusting as pillowbiting your bunky buddy, but, as we've often seen of late, time marches on and the ticking ain't all that sweet to the ears. Matter of fact, most members of the Old Corps...or Corpse as the president calls it...would prefer the kind affections of a mule-dear over swapping spit with a male of the species so no one could have predicted allowing such disgusting goings-on to be sanctioned, and therein lies the rub.
Bidding A Fond Farewell To The Old Light Bulb...
...And The Even Older Concepts Of Liberty
The old incandescents must...by government mandate...be removed from shelves in January, and all incandescent lighting totally eradicated by 2015. So heed the above advice lest you poison the entire neighborhood when, after you've finally switched, a mighty gust of wind comes along and rips them from their moorings after you've spent so much time decorating the front forty.
"If a CFL breaks while you are relighting Christmas decorations or changing out any of the other lighting sources in your house, it is important to air out the room where it broke. If it fell and broke on a hard surface, you can carefully scoop up the broken pieces and place them in a canning jar or a zip-tight plastic bag. Be sure to not sweep or vacuum the area.
If the bulb breaks over a rugged or carpeted area, then you can vacuum the area once you have all the visible pieces of glass and powder picked up and sealed in either a jar or plastic bag. But, according to the EPA’s guide, you then need to wipe clean your vacuum’s canister or remove the vacuum bag and place it inside another plastic bag. If you do have to vacuum, there are more instructions on how to set your vacuum on the proper settings."

NYC Man Faces Charges For Carrying "Switchblade"
An award-winning advertising executive with Fortune 500 clients is facing a year in prison on weapons charges after cops busted him with a knife he says he uses at work.
LaJuanzo Turner, 37, got arrested in a Brooklyn subway station in March while heading to his job at Zoom Media in Manhattan when two cops spotted the butt end of his Smith & Wesson knife protruding from his front pants pocket, his lawyer says.
The cops claimed the knife was an illegal switchblade.
His arrest is the latest conflict involving New York’s murky knife laws, which pit prosecutors and their zero tolerance for dangerous weapons against citizens who say certain knives are tools they need to do their jobs.
“This is ludicrous — you have to use common sense and discretion,” said Turner’s lawyer Mark Bederow, who filed a motion last week seeking to have the charges thrown out. Time and again I've told anyone with enough brains to listen that NY cops will call a butterknife a switchblade and get away with it.
Why? Because they can. A folding knife doesn't even have to be of the assisted-opening variety; all a cop has to do is flick it hard enough and if the blade moves a millimeter outside of the frame they scream "SWITCHBLADE!" and off to jail you go. And, by the by, they practice their flicking skills until they can make a fixed blade pop in and out.
This guy should have known better, MUCH better, and its ironic because dollars to doughnuts he's a loon that approves of disarming the entire world.

BAT-FU Says Pot Scrubbing Pads Are Firearms
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Firearms Technology Branch has deemed “Chore Boy copper cleaning pads, along with fiberglass insulation,” a firearm, subject to registration and a $200 transfer tax, an official letter obtained recently by Gun Rights Examiner reveals. The response to an attorney inquiry by John R. Spencer, Chief, Firearms Technology Branch, offers one of the more creatively restrictive assessments since ATF declared a shoestring to be a machinegun.
Yes, it is a given that our masters seek to continue the enslavement, and the following comment accompanying the article at Gun Rights Examiner is all one need know how they manage to do it:
Fudds. Can't live with 'em...Can't trust them. All the while professing their undying loyalty to Freedom as they march us all off the cliff.
We're doomed. The Minutemen have devolved into The Mi-Nute Men.

Back In The Saddle Again...
Booger has been blocked for me this past week, and to make matters worse my email account was spoofed again. Both appear to be in working order, so let me first compliment the folks at Ammo.nethttp://ammo.net/ for offering brand name ammo at rock bottom prices, and as I've said, as a Midway dealer I can't touch them with a stick.
Also, most of my 7.62X54R ammo has arrived...just now ordered the final batch from ammo.net.,180 grain Sellier & Bellot soft points*...and the Hogtown Irregulars will be having a good old fashioned wild pig hunt soon. Personally, I think such pork to be far too gamey no matter how you cook it, but then again even the rib joints here in Florida serve unpleasant tasting pig so it might be a southern deal or maybe just a Florida thing. All I know is the stuff makes me wanna gag.
*Yes. Soft points. We plan on taking down more than one boar and I want to see the difference between fmj's, soft points, and full-out hollow points.

I am now a Midway dealer, but can't meet the prices on Ammo.net.
There will be a permanent link once Booger stops glitching.

Global Warming...We Hardly Knew Ye
Current hard times also explain the demise of global warming advocacy. With high unemployment and near nonexistent economic growth, Americans do not want to shut down generating plants or pay new surcharges on their power bills. Most people worry first about having any car that runs -- not whether it's a more expensive green hybrid model.
Over the last half-century, Americans have agreed that smoky plants and polluting industries needed to be cleaned up. But when the green movement began to classify clean-burning heat as a pollutant, it began to lose the cash-strapped public.
While the Obama administration was subsidizing failed or inefficient green industries, radical breakthroughs in domestic fossil-fuel exploration and recovery -- especially horizontal drilling and fracking -- have vastly increased the known American reserves of gas and oil. Modern efficient engines have meant that both can be consumed with little, if any, pollution -- at a time when a struggling U.S. economy is paying nearly half a trillion dollars for imported fossil fuels. The public apparently would prefer developing more of our own gas, oil, shale, tar sands and coal as an alternative to going broke by either importing more fuels from abroad or subsidizing more inefficient windmills and solar panels at home.
We simply don't know positively whether recent human activity has caused the planet to warm up to dangerous levels. But we do know that those who insist it does are sometimes disingenuous, often profit-minded, and nearly always impractical."
Just two things one need know about the modern liberal response to a crisis. Get hysterical, then do the dumbest thing imaginable to fix what appears to be broken.
