Texas Governor Perry Sends Feds $350 Million Tab For Incarceration Of Illegals

 Texas Gov. Rick Perry has asked the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for nearly $350 million to cover the costs he says Texas has incurred incarcerating illegal immigrants in state prisons and county jails.

In a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, Perry reiterated a claim he's often leveled against the federal government: that it's not doing enough to secure the border with Mexico and as a result, has allowed illegal immigrants to enter the U.S. and use taxpayer-funded resources, including the prison system.

If EVERY state so burdened were to send a bill to the Feds, this would soon solve our illegal immigrant problem, as well as reintroducing that pesky little concept known as states-rights.

If the Federal Government won't let the states handle the problem, then IT has to handle the problem; and the Supremes would probably see it that way, too. With the exception of the liberal females but of course.

When blacks were only four generations out of slavery, their illegitimacy rate was about 23 percent (lower than the white illegitimacy rate is now). Then Democrats decided to help them! Barely two generations since LBJ's Great Society programs began, the black illegitimacy rate has tripled to 72 percent.

Meanwhile, the white illegitimacy rate has septupled, from 4 percent to 29 percent.

Instead of a "War on Poverty," it should have been called a "War on the Family."

The vast and permanent underclass created by the welfare state is a great success story for the Democratic Party, which now has a loyal constituency of deadbeats who automatically vote for the Democrats to keep their Trojan horse "benefits" flowing.

It's the Democrats' "heroin dealer" model of government.

Apparently, it takes a lot of government workers to minister to the poor, inasmuch as government employment has skyrocketed in tandem with the family's disintegration. As long as Democrats are serving their principal constituency -- recipients of taxpayer money -- they don't care what happens to the rest of society.

They champion any mob that will increase their political power. Liberals promote welfare dependency, class warfare, endless government programs staffed with public sector workers, street protests, coddling criminals and physical attacks on their ideological opponents. This is how they create reliable Democratic voters.

True, government employees are doing jobs we don't want done, can never be fired, are bankrupting the country and periodically break out in mob violence.

True, also, that the children of broken families sometimes burn city blocks to the ground or kill their great-grandmothers with swords. But what a voting bloc!"

Now, were you to debate a liberal on this issue, the first thing he'd throw at you is the race card, condemning  you for being an intolerant hater. That's because liberals don't debate issues, they debate emotions, and damn the facts. The facts get in the way of "feelings" and have no place in the lunatic liberal agenda.

Shame too. Because, generally speaking, they have smoking audio/visual setups and can be nice to hang around with.

Driving While Biker

They contend the police are illegally profiling them for DWB, Driving While Biker, and the city's code enforcement unit is digging up zoning beefs to run them out of town.

This, from the start, poses a difficult challenge for the Henchmen: Should a biker inked up with skull tattoos who proudly calls himself an outlaw expect the same constitutional protections as you do?

Actually, no. At least not in California, where the liberal media believes that rights can only be exercised with permission slips, and revoked whenever law enforcement damned well pleases.

California Releases The Dropout Numbers For 2010: Read 'Em and Weep

About 1 out of 5 California students from the Class of 2010 dropped out of high school before graduation day, according to new state figures, with about one 1 in 6 dropping out in Santa Clara County.

But there was also some positive news in a report that usually dwells on the bad: Santa Clara County's push to get more students ready for college seems to be working.

Half of the county's graduates in 2010 had completed the courses required to enter UC or CSU schools -- compared with 34 percent of their fellow graduates across the state. The numbers are on the rise in the South Bay, even for groups who traditionally score lower, such as Latinos.

What this particular article doesn't break down is the ethnicity of the dropouts. Strangely enough, both blacks and hispanics account for the lions share of the numbers; roughly 60% of both groups graduate compared to an average of 85% for whites and asians.

Take away both, then California, and indeed the entire country, would be graduating more high school'ers than any nation in the world.

Why IS this, you query?

Entitlement. The notion that is banged into their heads that nothing bad they do is their fault and anything else they do is ice cream with all the fixin's. They simply need to be taught the meaning of accountability, but that's not going to happen so adios amigos. Lousy teachers add to the fuss, as well as parenting that flat our sucks.

And PS: More money isn't the answer as the dropout schools generally spend twice as much as the ones that graduate their kids.

Vargas also found work at a Subway restaurant, a Y.M.C.A., a tennis club, and seemingly a number of other positions for more than a decade. Vargas claims that the businesses rarely asked to check his original Social Security card and that, when they did, he gave them the fraudulent photocopy. In addition, Vargas checked the citizenship box on his federal I-9 forms because, as he explained, "claiming full citizenship was actually easier than declaring permanent resident green card status, which would have required me to provide an alien registration number." For this I-9 fraud alone, Vargas can be fined and jailed up to 5 years under 18 USCS § 1001(a). He also is liable for perjury. Time will tell if the federal government feels aliens can openly violate these statutes without fear of being held accountable.

The Washington Post is not the only news agency with lax employment standards. Vargas explains that the San Francisco Chronicle, Philadelphia Daily News, the Seattle Times, the Huffington Post, and The New Yorker also do a poor job screening candidates for employment eligibility.

Thus far, the legal repercussions for all of this illegal activity – other than the driver's license invalidation – do not appear to be forthcoming.

If these violations are not investigated by the authorities, if the aforementioned media outlets don't start using E-Verify, and if Vargas isn't penalized and facing deportation before the end of the year, then the journalist class should not be surprised that the American public continues to feel that our immigration laws are not being taken seriously."

Not a chance. The Obama Injustice Department exists to aid and abet enemies of the United States, both foreign and domestic.

LONDON –  The mother of Mark Duggan, whose death was the catalyst for a wave of violence in London and across the U.K., insisted Tuesday that her son was "no gangster," and police were wrong to shoot him.

Duggan, a father of four, was shot dead by police Thursday evening during a pre-planned anti-firearms operation.

An inquest into his death opened Tuesday, and was adjourned until Dec. 12, Sky News reported.

The post-mortem showed Duggan died from one gunshot wound to the chest. The Independent Police Complaints Commission described the investigation as "complex," adding that the investigation would take four to six months.

Duggan was described by police sources as an important player in the criminal underworld, but this view was strongly rejected by friends and family, who have condemned the subsequent violence.

Violence flared Saturday in Tottenham, north London, after a peaceful march by Duggan's family, triggering a wave of lawlessness across the capital and in other cities.

"He would rather sit at home and play the PlayStation with his kids. He didn't carry no gun," Pamela Duggan told The Times of London at her home in Tottenham. "Mark was very into himself, very quiet. But he was definitely a family man."

Pamela Duggan said race may have been a factor in the death. "They [the police] killed my son. I'm not saying murder ... I don't know what it is. Apparently it was wrote [sic] somewhere that he was being watched ... He's black and you know what that means," she said."

Forget for a moment that the UK is so afraid of inanimate objects they panic at the mere thought of someone owning a gun, gangsters such as Mr.Duggan shouldn't own a butter knife and instead would have been better served  having spent the remainder of his days in a comfortable jail cell.

Then again a bullet is a lot cheaper.

Email Hacked

Somehow, someway, my email was hacked into and hundreds of mails were sent out using my aol account. Strange indeed, since my account outbox shows no such activity but these hackers and crackers can defeat Sony and Amazon so I guess they can screw with little old me.

If you've been contacted by me, well it ain't me. I've taken steps to correct the problem but who knows. The person or persons who did this had full access to my email system and sent mails to Google and others, but since I won't open a darn one of them it'll remain a mystery.
