Rome: Homos Need Not Apply

New Vatican Rule Said to Bar Gays as New Priests

By IAN FISHER and LAURIE GOODSTEINHomosexuals, even those who are celibate, will be barred from becoming Roman Catholic priests, a church official said.

This is a tough one. Over at NRO today, Kathryn Lopez received an email from a gentleman currently in the seminary, and his story was that 50% of ALL seminary students were homosexuals. The Catholic Church has it's own rules, and you have to be a politician to be able to flaunt them with impunity, so I guess otherwise qualified men will be excluded from administering the sacraments. I really hate it when people of equal ability are broken down into categories because of the way they look, their gender, or the people they prefer doing private things with, but again, I ain't the boss of that particular club so have at it.
