Grapple In The Apple?

Grapple In The Apple indeed. More like Pork in New York from what I've heard, as both antagonists brought as many catch phrases from the lefty and righty sides of the great debate as to who on any given day can be dumber than a box of claw hammers.

George Galloway MP and Christopher Hitchens faced off in a no-holds-barred, knock-down-drag-out, kickin' and a gougin' in the mud and the blood and the beer debate, and following the comments on LGF it was clear to see that Hitch was wiping the floor with Lord Hee Haw, while the Dumbocrapic UnderBed was crowing on and on about how the MP was bitch-slapping the fence-hopping Hitch-The-Bitch with one telling blow after another.

And that's all these things are or can ever pretend to be; my boy beats your boy and I'll be there to get an autographed copy of his book after the sanitation department cleans up alla the blood and guts.

Read something about it here: Alex Massie on Hitchens & Galloway on National Review Online

Who really won? If anyone wants to know, just answer like Jeff Jarvis would: "The stentorian tone of the MP was a hard act for Hitchens to follow, but given the fact that he swam outnumbered in a snark-infested sea of adoring leftwing ideologues, Hitch held his own".
