Forecasters Fear Hurricane Rita's Strength
KEY WEST, Fla. - Rapidly strengthening Hurricane Rita lashed the Florida Keys on Tuesday and headed into the Gulf of Mexico, where forecasters feared it could develop into another blockbuster storm targeting Texas or Louisiana.
In other weather-related news, various cable news networks are contemplating suing the Federal Government due to Florida's preparedness in dealing with the approach of Hurricane Rita.
"It definitely falls under the Commerce Clause" a representative for CNN told Messenger, "The more prepared a state or city is, the less damage done, and our ratings can plummet 20-25% if no significant wreckage or dead bodies are available for broadcasting, and FEMA in particular is directly responsible for such a high level of readiness."
Calls to FEMA were answered by a high ranking official who asked not to be identified, and it appears that the Federal Government IS aware of this violation to the Commerce Clause, and has promised to build any network so deleteriously affected, it's own light-water nuclear reactor.
