Nagin' Wants To Revisit The Horror All Over Again

Relief Chief: Mayor's Plan 'Problematic'

BATON ROUGE, La. - A weakened levee system and a lack of drinkable tap water will make it "extremely problematic" to follow the New Orleans mayor's timeline for allowing residents to return to the evacuated city, the head of the federal disaster relief effort said Saturday.

Nagin' wants the folks to come home. That means road blocks demanding identification from EVERYONE...except Sean Penn or the media...wishing to enter the city. How many of these folks left with nothing more than the clothes on their backs? Can you imagine the cluster fuck as tens of thousands of unidentifiable residents are held up alongside the road because they cannot prove they live in New Orleans?

Why is Nagin doing this? Pressure from business, particularly the powerful Hotel/motel lobby that wants those rooms full, restaurants buzzing and the bars a' jumpin'. NOW. So jump when we say jump or look for another job.

And why the roadblocks? To keep out the THOUSANDS of organized gang members that chased away half the police force the first time around.
