Self-Defense Rounds

Starfire by PMC: 158 grain jacketed hollow point .357 Magnum. Fired from a Ruger GP-100, 3" barrel. Penetrated 17.5" in water jug testing, and expanded to .701". Before pictures on the left, .38 and .357 comparisons. The .38 expands less, .61" on the average, doesn't penetrate as deeply, 14" or so, but has less recoil and flash so might be more suitable for home defense purposes. Nasty looking blades on the little sucker, ain't they? That's simply gotta hurt, and might be the perfect round for vermin. Yes, bearded vermin as well.

Ditto. Hoever, I DO like the challenges of a decent shooting gallery now and again...
