Group Wants Bush Arrested For Not Visiting Vermont

President Bush has visited every state except Vermont during his time in office. Now some folks in Brattleboro, Vermont say if he ever does show up, he should be arrested.

A group is petitioning to put an item on the town meeting agenda in March calling for the president and vice president to be arrested and indicted for war crimes if they ever come to the community. Supporters need about 1,000 signatures to get the item on the agenda.

One member of the town select board says leaders need to focus instead on the needs of the citizens and the idea is not practical. Democratic Attorney General William Sorrell — whose office has repeatedly sued the Bush administration over environmental issues — calls the move, "of very dubious legality, but as always it boils down to how blind ass drunk the population gets over the New Years holiday so they just might get enough signatures, and if so we'll arrest him on the spot if Air Force One touches down anywhere near Vermont."

Jennifer Garner Named West Virginian of the Year

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — "Actress Jennifer Garner has been honored as the 2007 West Virginian of the Year by her hometown newspaper.

The Sunday Gazette-Mail says it chose Garner for her dedication, hard work and service as an ambassador and role model for West Virginia, and had been originally considering both Don Knotts and Chuck Yeager but were surprised to learn that Mr. Knotts was deceased, and received an email from Mr. Yeager stating that since "ya'll didn't give a rats (CENSORED) when I broke the sound barrier in '47, so shove your West Virginian of the Year up your (CENSORED) and go pick some dumbass actress or something like that."

Woman Who Tried to Assassinate President Ford Released From Prison

SAN FRANCISCO — Sara Jane Moore, who took a shot at President Ford in a 1975 assassination attempt, was released from prison Monday.

Moore, 77, had served about 30 years of a life sentence when she was released from the federal prison in Dublin, east of San Francisco, the Federal Bureau of Prisons said.

She was 40 feet away from Ford outside a hotel in San Francisco when she fired a shot at him on Sept. 22, 1975. As she raised her .38-caliber revolver, Oliver Sipple, a disabled former Marine standing next to her, pushed up her arm as the gun went off, and the bullet flew over Ford's head by several feet.

In recent interviews, Moore said she regretted her actions, saying she was blinded by her radical political views, and since President Ford has been dead for a year and almost a week, she should no longer be considered a threat.

"Not like he's still with us," Miss Moore offered to the parole board, "so sure, I can honestly say I won't be going after him any more."

This stunned several members of the board who had been unaware of the late President's demise, and upon learning the facts voted for her immediate release.

"This was nearly a terrible miscarriage of justice," an anonymous board member reported, "if we'd have known he died around Christmas of 2006 we would have let the old lady go right then and there, but better late than never."

850 Rounds Of Full Rock & Roll

Saw this over at Cogito Ergo Geek, and since I've been awaiting a DURABLE M-60 for oh, what time is it now, 40+ years, was impressed.

New barrels can go to hell and back and then some.

Gun Poll Closed

It ran its course and the surprise was a pleasant one. With all the internet chatter bemoaning less than stellar gunshops, one would imagine that most people would be unhappy with their hometown stores, but the like the Fwench say, au contrary mon ami.

A Terrific Gunshop: 63%

Pawn Shops: 9%

Chelsea Clinton Guards Her Words

VINTON, Iowa (AP) - It's one thing for Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign to turn down interview requests for the candidate's daughter, Chelsea. But can't a 9-year-old reporter catch a break?

Sydney Rieckhoff, a Cedar Rapids fourth grader and "kid reporter" for Scholastic News, has posed questions to seven Republican and Democratic presidential hopefuls as they've campaigned across Iowa this year. But when she approached the 27-year-old Chelsea after a campaign event Sunday, she got a different response.

"Do you think your dad would be a good 'first man' in the White House?" Sydney asked, but Chelsea brushed her question aside.

"I'm sorry, I don't talk to the press and that applies to you, unfortunately. Even though I think you're cute," Chelsea told the pint-sized journalist.

Tall and attractive, Chelsea cuts an impressive figure on the campaign trail; she plunges enthusiastically into the crowd after her mother's speeches, shaking hands and posing for pictures while asking, "Are you going to caucus for my mom?"

But onstage, Chelsea never speaks; she stands next to her mother and applauds but utters not a single sentence and doesn't even say hello. And reporters covering the campaign have been put on notice that Chelsea is not available to speak to them. An aide follows the former first daughter as she works the crowd, shushing reporters who approach her and try to ask any questions.

Famously protective of their daughter's privacy, Bill and Hillary Clinton have taken pains to shield Chelsea from the harsh glare and rough edges of presidential politics. She stayed largely absent from her mother's campaign until December, when she made her first visit to Iowa where there is a far better understanding of "special people", and none of the stigma nor insensitive reference to someone being "slow", or "a retard", labels the Clinton campaign strongly deny.

"Just because she takes a lot of time to make a decision about even the most commonplace of things and we have to dress her and all doesn't mean people have to be rude," an aide said to the Scholastic News when asked why Ms Clinton appears to be generally slow on the uptake.

And Since We've Smelled The Rat...

Hillary: Pakistan Troops Might Have Killed Bhutto

"Hillary Rodham Clinton is advancing a theory that Pakistan's military might have assassinated Benazir Bhutto.

During a question-and-answer session in Clinton, Iowa, Clinton cast doubt on Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf's assertion that Bhutto's death in the city of Rawalpindi was masterminded by al-Qaida.

"There are those saying that al-Qaida did it. Others are saying it looked like it was an inside job - remember Rawalpindi is a garrison city," she said, according to Newsday."

Isn't it amazing that this harridan would accuse a sovereign nation of assassination on the merest of whims and without the slightest bit of proof? This, you see, is how SHE believes a chief executive to act. Someone doesn't agree with you...fine...destroy them anyway possible. Pakistan is an ally of the United States, BUT, and herein lies the witches' but, she doesn't happen to like its current leader so alls fair in love and war.

What ghastly people these Clinton's.

U.S. Stamp Celebrates China's 'Year of Rat'

"The U.S. Postal Service revealed its upcoming stamps for 2008.

According to the Service's press release, "the 2008 stamp program recognizes a range of subjects as diverse as America itself, from the Chinese Lunar New Year celebrated in Chinatowns all over the country, to 20th century movie icons and literary figures, to the flags of our states and territories."

Joining the likes of Bette Davis, Frank Sinatra, journalist Eric Severeid, and numerous other notable Americans, the Post Office will kick off its new stamp series this January by celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year with the issuance of the Celebrating Lunar New Year: Year of the Rat stamp."

This bodes ill for the upcoming political considerations.

Who but Hillary RodHam would find the Year of the Rat to be a most favorable portent?

And doesn't it figure that the POST OFFICE would deign to celebrate communism in all its splendorous vainglory.

Bloomberg Once Again Feels The Urge To Run...

December 31, 2007 -- "He's frustrated with Washington gridlock and has money to burn - and next week, Mayor Bloomberg will meet with well-connected Democrats and Republicans who could help launch him as an independent presidential candidate."

That annoying, screechy, caterwaul you may have caught just at the limits of your hearing? Hillary screaming all the way from Iowa.

With men like Bloomberg its all about the ego and nothing else. Seems that the democrat camp isn't paying the mayor much attention these days and whenever that happens Mike makes noises like he's preparing to make a run at the Presidency. And forget this "independent" nonsense; Mike's a liberal, always was, and would leech more voters away from RodHam than anyone else.

RUN, MIKE, RUN!

Then There's The New Redhawk In .45 Colt...

4" barrel with the obligatory Hogue's, its easy to see the enormous difference of not having a Ruger working at Ruger. Since its a Ruger means this particular revolver can safely handle the "new" .45 Colt loads that come ever so close to .44 Magnum territory, but why not just buy a .44 you ask?

Something about the old .45 Colt that is magical to wheelgunners.

$700 out-the-door seems about right.

Investigative Report: Sheriff donors got gun permits

The bounty hunter accused of kicking in his wife's door and dragging her outside, the pawnbroker who left a loaded gun tucked between the seats of his unlocked car, the drywall company owner who donated money to the sheriff's campaign and owns a vacation house with him.

All of these men subsequently received permission from the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department to carry a concealed gun.

As a lawsuit accusing former Sheriff Lou Blanas of favoring campaign contributors in decisions on concealed weapon permits wends its way through federal court, The Bee examined public records on more than 550 permits issued since 1996, all but 37 of them under Blanas' terms as sheriff and undersheriff.

Permit holders included people with past criminal convictions, not always reported on their permit applications, The Bee review found, as well as those with drunken driving arrests, which disqualify applicants in many counties.

The department's files, however, were in disarray, with documents often incomplete or missing, making a comprehensive review impossible. The department does not track such basic statistics as a percentage of applications approved and denied.

Shown The Bee's findings, current Sheriff John McGinness, who took office on Blanas' retirement in July 2006, said he plans to clean things up.

"It's going to be repaired," he said, "because otherwise you're going to have the appearance of inconsistency and a lack of fairness, even if that's not the case."

Duh, well damn it all, Hoss, but they WERE inconsistent with the very concept of fairness, now weren't they?

I'm shocked to the core. A Sheriff playing favorites. Hard to believe. That they caught him, I mean.

Pope's exorcist squads will wage war on Satan

"The Pope has ordered his bishops to set up exorcism squads to tackle the rise of Satanism.

Vatican chiefs are concerned at what they see as an increased interest in the occult.

They have introduced courses for priests to combat what they call the most extreme form of "Godlessness."

Each bishop is to be told to have in his diocese a number of priests trained to fight demonic possession."

Just give them round-trip tickets to the middle east, Your Holiness. Holy water. Lots and lots of holy water cause this ones gonna be a toughie, but you fella's at least have experience so a good recommendation would be to read up on the crusades.

Damn if that isn't one wingdinger of a hat, eh?

Oh and PS, your Holiness; Might want to see if you can get your boys over to Iowa right quick, too. With Clinton's, and Hussein's, and Breck Girls running around your Satan Smashers can have a field day and still get to sleep in something resembling a quality hotel.

They Had No Heart In San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO — "Police radio transcripts from the night of a deadly tiger attack revealed a chaotic scene at the San Francisco Zoo as zookeepers struggled to sedate the animal and medics refused to enter until they knew they would be safe.

Zoo employees also initially questioned whether early reports of the Dec. 25 attack were coming from a mentally unstable person, according to an 18-page log of communications from police dispatchers to officers and emergency responders at the scene."

Good to see that in the land of fruits and nuts the cowardly still roam at will. I hate it when my enemies get stronger, but there's really no chance of that now is there.

Gotta feel sorry for those young men, especially the one that bled out while the first responders were making sure they were safe.

Fence was way too small, the staff couldn't find their ass with a tracking satellite and the emergency crews wanted signed affidavits that there'd be no boo-boo's in the offing.

Like Mother Like Daughter...

"Chelsea Clinton greets local residents during a campaign stop with her mother Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007, Mount Pleasant, Iowa."

Rudy Giuliani Veterans’ Co-Chairman Resigns Over Muslim Remarks

"A co-chairman for Rudy Giuliani’s veterans’ coalition in New Hampshire resigned Saturday after telling a British newspaper that Muslims need to be chased “back to their caves.”

The response was swift after the GOP presidential candidate faced questions Friday night about the comments, made by John Deady during a video interview with the Guardian at a Giuliani house party in Manchester, N.H. Deady was named co-chairman of the New Hampshire Veterans for Rudy over the summer.

“Mr. Deady offered his resignation from his volunteer position in the campaign and I accepted his resignation,” Giuliani New Hampshire Chairman Wayne Semprini said in a statement.

In the original Guardian interview, Deady said Giuliani is the best candidate to handle “one of the most difficult problems in current history” — “the rise of the Muslims.”

Click here to see the video of Deady’s comments for the Guardian.

He added: “We need to keep the feet to the fire and keep pressing these people until we defeat or chase them back to their caves or, in other words, get rid of them.”

Later in an interview with the Talking Points Memo Web site, Deady confirmed he made the statements and said he was referring to all Muslims.

“I don’t subscribe to the principle that there are good Muslims and bad Muslims,” Deady said in the article. “They’re all Muslims.”

Now, a man may think that, but to be closely associated with a Presidential candidate he really shouldn't say that.

I myself trust them as much as I'd trust a supposedly tame big cat. Sooner or later the animal inside will win out and I for one don't wish to be around when it does. Unless suitably armed of course. I feel the most sorry for their kids. To be around such mind boggling murderous rage must be hard. Sort of like what Chelsea Clinton went through I'd imagine.

When In Doubt...Lie

"In Miami, authorities say the proliferation of assault weapons led to an increase in killings, from 56 in 2005 to 79 in 2006 and 86 so far in 2007.

"You just pull a trigger and 20 or 30 rounds come in a second and in those 20 rounds you're sure to hit your intended target and some innocent bystanders, totally unlike a firearm that is just one bullet every time you pull the trigger," Miami Police spokesman Willie Moreno said."

Way to go, Willie. There has been absolutely NO evidence that fully automatic firearms have been used in crimes or confiscated from the Miami gangs, but why let a little thing like the truth stand in the way of you whimpering to save your sorry ass because law enforcement has let the situation get totally out of control.

Go after the criminals, Willie. Yes, modern semi-automatics can be really really scary but if you can't take the heat then find another line of work. ANYTHING but this continuous sob story about how dangerous alla this here police work is and how pretty much ALL guns should be banned to make YOU feel safer.

Should The Supremes Require Assistance...

"If the representatives of the people betray their constituents, there is then no resource left but in the exertion of that original right of self-defense which is paramount to all positive forms of government . . . The citizens must rush tumultuously to arms..."

Judicial Watch Announces List of Washington’s “Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians” for 2007

1. Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY): In addition to her long and sordid ethics record, Senator Hillary Clinton took a lot of heat in 2007 – and rightly so – for blocking the release her official White House records. Many suspect these records contain a treasure trove of information related to her role in a number of serious Clinton-era scandals. Moreover, in March 2007, Judicial Watch filed an ethics complaint against Senator Clinton for filing false financial disclosure forms with the U.S. Senate (again). And Hillary’s top campaign contributor, Norman Hsu, was exposed as a felon and a fugitive from justice in 2007. Hsu pleaded guilt to one count of grand theft for defrauding investors as part of a multi-million dollar Ponzi scheme.

But of course a Clinton would head the list, and Rudy comes in at #5, HuckleBerry #6, and Barack The Magic (and clean) Negro at #8.

Now what are the chances the Yellowstream Media will ask Hillary, in public, how it feels to be named the most corrupt politician for 2007? How's about bringing it up during a debate?

Thanks to Stop The ACLU.

Huckleberry Brings John Bolton Aboard Foreign Policy Team

Problem is he forgot to tell John Bolton...

"In recent days, Mike Huckabee has tried to answer long-standing questions about who is on his foreign policy team. On Friday morning, he listed former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton as someone with whom he either has “spoken or will continue to speak.”

At a Thursday evening press conference, Huckabee said, "I've corresponded with John Bolton, who's agreed to work with us on developing foreign policy.”

Bolton, however, has a different view. “I’d be happy to speak with Huckabee, but I haven’t spoken with him yet,” said Bolton, now a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, a conservative think tank in Washington."

Even The Fwench Are Getting Wise To Algore

The most conspicuous doubter in France is Claude Allegre, a former education minister and a physicist by profession. His new book, ``Ma Verite Sur la Planete'' (``My Truth About the Planet''), doesn't mince words.

He calls Gore a ``crook'' presiding over an eco-business that pumps out cash. As for Gore's French followers, the author likens them to religious zealots who, far from saving humanity, are endangering it. Driven by a Judeo-Christian guilt complex, he says, French greens paint worst-case scenarios and attribute little-understood cycles to human misbehavior.

Allegre doesn't deny that the climate has changed or that extreme weather has become more common. He instead emphasizes the local character of these phenomena.

While the icecap of the North Pole is shrinking, the one covering Antarctica -- or 92 percent of the Earth's ice -- is not, he says. Nor have Scandinavian glaciers receded, he says. To play down these differences by basing forecasts on a global average makes no sense to Allegre.

He dismisses talk of renewable energies, such as wind or solar power, saying it would take a century for them to become a serious factor in meeting the world's energy demands.

Let Us Eat Cake

To his relief, France has taken another path: Almost 80 percent of its electricity comes from nuclear reactors. What's more, France has a talent for eating its cake and having it, too: Although it signed and ratified the Kyoto Protocol, the country is nowhere near meeting the agreed targets.

``Ma Verite Sur la Planete'' is published by Plon/Fayard (240 pages, 18 euros).

Jean de Kervasdoue, a health expert, also stresses the benefits of nuclear power, noting that it emits only a small fraction of the greenhouse gas that comes from burning coal, oil or gas. His pet peeve, though, is genetically modified food.

In ``Les Precheurs de l'Apocalypse'' (``The Doomsday Preachers''), Kervasdoue decries how shrill and sometimes violent campaigners have prevented GM foods from gaining a foothold in Europe. They way they talk, he says, ``it sounds as if Martians are attacking the Earth.''

Insulin and Obesity

In fact, genetically modified organisms have proved highly beneficial to mankind, he argues, pointing to insulin, an artificially created hormone that has saved the lives of countless diabetes sufferers. A much greater danger to health and life expectancy, he says, is obesity -- even though the food that European fatsoes ingest is ``natural.''

So which one of the RINO's running for the Presidency is more apt to hop aboard the global warming swindle? Huckleberry seems the most liberal of the bunch and it wouldn't surprise me at all to see him climbing aboard the sky-is-falling platform.

Topless Woman Lured Perverts in Police Sting

Robin Garrison, an off-duty 42-year-old firefighter, was walking in Berliner Park in Columbus, Ohio, in May when he saw a woman sunbathing topless under a tree.

He approached her and they started talking and getting comfortable, the woman smiling and resting her foot on his shoulder at one point.

Eventually, she asked to see Garrison's penis; he unzipped his pants and complied.

Seconds later, undercover police officers pulled up in a van and arrested Garrison; he was later charged with public indecency, a misdemeanor, based on video footage taken by cops who were targeting men having sex or masturbating in the park. While topless sunbathing is legal in the city's parks, exposing more than that is against the law.

The case is just one of the more extreme examples of police stings aimed at luring people into committing crimes, a tactic that has resulted in hundreds of arrests, many convictions and plenty of controversy."

Consenting single adults acting in relative privacy? Or perverts all but fornicating in public? I can honestly say that were I unattached I'd be too shy to expose myself no matter how attractive the woman was who did the asking. There's simply something called propriety and decorum and oh yes, common decency. Get a room. On the other hand, I believe law enforcement hideously wrong for entrapping the guy like that. Go catch a criminal why don't ya.

Rules say homes must be safe for robbers

"A woman who suffered a break-in robbery in which she lost some valuable antiques worth "thousands" has been told she could face a significant liability if she beefs up her home's security, and a returning robber would be injured.

The woman had antiques and personal items worth "thousands" stolen from her home during her absence to attend to the needs of her brother, suffering with cancer.

The invaders smashed through a security gate and broke windows in order to get inside, police reports said.

During their investigation, Rugby police provided her with a crime-fighting booklet that discusses home security.

But she told the Advertiser when she asked about putting in a new security fence and upgrading its capabilities, she was told the laws on liability meant she risked a police investigation herself if any trespassers hurt themselves climbing it.

She had wanted to add barbed wire to the fence in order to reduce the ease with which the robbers apparently gained access to her home.

But the Warwickshire Police "Operation Impact" booklet, which gives victims information on crime-fighting, suggested she could risk a prosecution herself if someone would be hurt."

This is absolutely TOO funny. Even if its true. The Brits have allowed things to go this far south; harm a burglar, and go to jail.

Simply can't make this shit up.

Police Deaths Up In 2007

"Texas led the nation with 22 fatalities followed by Florida (16), New York (12), and California (11). The report includes the death of 17 federal law enforcement officers, including five Air Force Office of Special Investigations agents killed in two bombings in Iraq.

The report counted six times in which multiple officers were shot and killed in the same incident, such as the September shooting in Odessa, Texas that left three officers dead while responding to a domestic violence call. Domestic violence and traffic stops were the circumstances that most commonly led to fatal police shootings this year, the report found."

So then how strange is it that the most populist states see the most officers killed in the line of duty? The populations rise each and every year, and one would suppose that the number of violent confrontations with thugs would rise accordingly, but anyone unaware of the simple fact that various affirmative action laws mean less qualified cops on the beat needs to GET aware. We all know of the certain percent of the population that commits the largest percent of the crime. But concentrating on them would be profiling so let the street cop pay the price.

What is truly amazing is the relative scarcity of officers killed in encounters with violent criminals. Hundreds of thousands of robbers, rapists, muggers, and gangsters shot and killed only 69 officers? One is too many, and I'm awaiting a list of citizens killed by crooks but that certainly won't be featured on anyone's page one. The police should be grateful of the fact that we the people send millions of bad guys packing and give our lives far more often than they do in the protection of America.

Bloomberg's Anti-Gun Group Advertises In Iowa, New Hampshire

"The Bloomberg-funded group Mayors Against Illegal Guns announced today it has taken out newspaper ads in the Des Moines Register and New Hampshire Union Leader to remind the (declared) ‘08 hopefuls and primary/caucus voters about its crusade against illegal firearms.

The ad features Bloomberg front-and-center, and highlights questions from the 16-question presidential survey released by the group on Dec. 9, which the candidates have been asked to fill out and return by Jan. 2."

Iowa is by and large anti-handgun and pro-hunting rifle/shotgun, Fuddible to the 9's with its citizens easily swayed into believing the old canard that states "no reasonable person needs to own (insert objectionable firearm here...)"

A "May-Issue" state that leaves concealed carry up to the local sheriff, leading to graft and corruption as individual fiefdoms are established. First thing I was asked...off the record but of course...was my political affiliation and that right then and there doomed my chances of getting a license unless I could be persuaded to become a solid financial contributor to the sheriff in question.

To the Bloomberg thugs, "Illegal Gun" means ANY weapon not owned by law enforcement, or specifically designed for hunting and/or target shooting. Eight of the ten Iowans I spoke with during the 5 years living there agreed with that wholeheartedly.

That's right, the folks here at Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership have just devised a brand new logo critter for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, a critter much more appropriate than anything that they might have thought up for themselves.

It's a great big green, fanged monster, out to poison your Second Amendment rights -- and it's going to get you if you don't get it first!

At JPFO, our mission is its abolition. But before that can happen, we need to give the big, nasty monster a name. We started out tossing a few ideas around, but in the end, we decided to let you in on the fun.

Send us your name for the BATFE logo monster which you can check out for yourself at http://www.jpfo.org . If we choose yours, you'll win three DVDs: The Gang, Innocents Betrayed, and Nazi Death Camps.

Name the monster so that someday we can carve it on the critter's headstone. Send your suggestion to jpfo@jpfo.org before January 31, 2008. All entries become the property of Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership.

Florida man, 65, fights off 5 thugs

ORLANDO, Fla. -- "A Central Florida man who collects cash for parking at a church fought off five armed men who had ambushed him and demanded cash.

The 65-year-old victim, who did not want to be identified, said he was collecting cash in the Parramore area before an Orlando Magic basketball game when someone put a gun to his head.

He noticed that that he was surrounded by four other men as well.

The man said he pretended to reach into his jacket for cash but instead pulled out his hidden gun and opened fire.

The men fled during the shooting and it was not known if any of them were hit by bullets.

The victim said he had a permit for the concealed weapon.

He said he has been a victim of crime before.

"A couple of years ago, eight teens attacked me with a pipe trying to rob me," the man said."

Anyone with information concerning the crime is urged to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.

I happen to know the area and am aware of the roving gangs of thugs that always somehow seem to elude the police day in, day out. Just one of the reasons more and more citizens are arming themselves; no one in their right mind expects the police to come to the rescue because they are, after all, avengers and not protectors.

Good on ya, old fella.

What The Brady Bunch And The MAFIA Have In Common..

"Gun control? It's the best thing you can do for crooks and gangsters. I want you to have nothing. If I'm a bad guy, I'm always gonna have a gun. Safety locks? You pull the trigger with a lock on, and I'll pull the trigger. We'll see who wins."

Interview with Sammy "The Bull" Gravano, Vanity Fair, September, 1999.

Warm & Sunny Outside...

Been in and out all the live-long day, as its 80 and sunny. Fort Fits is preparing for the visit of MOTHER-IN-LAW, so I'm mapping an escape route. Some food, water, a tool or three, plenty of ammo, and my best hiking boots are strategically stashed for a quick getaway if necessary. Mans got to know his limitations because sometimes retreat is preferable to standing still and being murdered.

Just kidding. Yeah.

Don't Ask Because She Ain't Telling

"As she races through Iowa in the days before next week's caucuses, Hillary Clinton is taking few chances. She tells crowds that it’s their turn to “pick a president,’’ but over the last two days she has not invited them to ask her any questions.

Before the brief Christmas break, the New York senator had been setting aside time after campaign speeches to hear from the audience. Now when she’s done speaking, her theme songs blare from loudspeakers, preventing any kind of public Q&A."

When the witch ran for Senator NOBODY, and I do mean nobody was allowed to approach Her Highness with a question. She'd arrive amid fanfare aplenty with more security than stars in the sky, a handler would address the crowd and tell them that Mrs. BJ Billy would say a word or two, and off they'd scamper after the shrill one tossed out a cliche or two. They lightened up a bit after Rudy dropped out of the race due to health concerns, figuring that there'd be no one around to call her on some stupid statement that proved she didn't know a lick about NY City or State.

This time around there are so very many "friends", hangers-on, acquaintances, and outright plants ALWAYS in ANY audience attending her visits, that she doesn't dare get caught spewing the same old BS to yet another paid questioner, or, heaven forbid, some filthy peon who somehow managed to get past the scrutiny of her advisers. Its a smart move having this creature STFU because all she can do is hurt herself, but eventually she's bound to boil over and plant foot firmly in mouth because all of this talking to mere nobody's is getting tiresome.

PS: I'm no medical person but just look at her left eye. Looks like one teeny more bulge and she'll either stroke-out or pop an orb into the balcony. Why can't they just begin the coronation proceedings and stop all of this stress on the poor dear?

Used GLOCK-22 Sale

$329.95 from J&G Sales. Figure $26 for shipping and if you've an honest...hold a sec while I chortle...FFL dealer he'll only ask $15 for the transfer fee, so getting a G-22 out the door for $370.95 is a bargain. If there's the slightest thing wrong with it GLOCK will fix it free of charge. Forever. Down to weak magazine springs. Don't like the scuff marks then GLOCK will refinish the gun for about $60.

Back in the early 90's I had a mag that was giving me fits and called the folks in Smryna asking what to do. Service guy said it was probably a weak spring and within a week I had 3 of them plus brandy new followers. And an annual, and stickers and patches and pens and a key chain. THE BHUTTO ASSASSINATION: NOT WHAT SHE SEEMED TO BE

by Ralph Peters

December 28, 2007 -- "FOR the next several days, you're going to read and hear a great deal of pious nonsense in the wake of the assassination of Pakistan's former prime minister, Benazir Bhutto.

Her country's better off without her. She may serve Pakistan better after her death than she did in life.

We need have no sympathy with her Islamist assassin and the extremists behind him to recognize that Bhutto was corrupt, divisive, dishonest and utterly devoid of genuine concern for her country.

She was a splendid con, persuading otherwise cynical Western politicians and "hardheaded" journalists that she was not only a brave woman crusading in the Islamic wilderness, but also a thoroughbred democrat.

In fact, Bhutto was a frivolously wealthy feudal landlord amid bleak poverty. The scion of a thieving political dynasty, she was always more concerned with power than with the wellbeing of the average Pakistani. Her program remained one of old-school patronage, not increased productivity or social decency.

Educated in expensive Western schools, she permitted Pakistan's feeble education system to rot - opening the door to Islamists and their religious schools.

During her years as prime minister, Pakistan went backward, not forward. Her husband looted shamelessly and ended up fleeing the country, pursued by the courts. The Islamist threat - which she artfully played both ways - spread like cancer.

But she always knew how to work Westerners - unlike the hapless Gen. Pervez Musharraf, who sought the best for his tormented country but never knew how to package himself.

Military regimes are never appealing to Western sensibilities. Yet, there are desperate hours when they provide the only, slim hope for a country nearing collapse. Democracy is certainly preferable - but, unfortunately, it's not always immediately possible. Like spoiled children, we have to have it now - and damn the consequences.

In Pakistan, the military has its own forms of graft; nonetheless, it remains the least corrupt institution in the country and the only force holding an unnatural state together. In Pakistan back in the '90s, the only people I met who cared a whit about the common man were military officers.

Americans don't like to hear that. But it's the truth..."

Back when she was in office I can recall the loons searching desperately to justify the graft and corruption, and Peters is correct in his presumption that as long as you tell a liberal how really really hard you're trying and agree with them even while doing the opposite of what they suggest...all they really want is vindication not results...then you shall be raised atop the pedestal of moonbattery and forever praised.

PS: Boy oh boy does it EVER help if you are a woman or a minority, too.

PPS: She sounded an awful lot like someone we know named RodHam, and I wait with bated breath Hillary's pronouncement of the departed lady's sainthood, and how she taught her all she knew.

Whoops...Tiger's Wall Lower Than Recommended Height

SAN JOSE, Calif. — "The San Francisco Zoo director said Thursday that the wall surrounding the enclosure housing the tiger responsible for a teenager's Christmas day death was much lower than is recommended by the country's primary zoo accrediting agency.

Two days after the cat escaped and attacked three young men, Zoo Director Manuel A. Mollinedo acknowledged that the wall was 12 1/2 feet — well below the 16.4-foot minimum height suggested by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums."

The stupidity didn't just stop at them building a wall 4' lower than the minimum. It continued with such veritable nonsense as "someone must have lowered an arm or leg and pulled the tiger up", along with "they snuck in a plank and helped the tiger across the moat", to my personal favorite, "they were calling her names, and being a proud cat who was getting her life together at long last, she simply snapped,"

If they truly erected a small wall then they'd better start asking for donations to cover the legal costs. And justifiably so.

Two Suspects in Seattle-Area Massacre Confessed to Killings

"In flat, unemotional prose, sheriff's Detective John Pavlovich described the horrific killings outlined by McEnroe.

First, Pavlovich wrote, the couple shot her parents, Wayne and Judy Anderson, using large-caliber pistols and dragged the bodies to a shed. A short time later, the dead couple's son, Scott, his wife, Erica, their son, Nathan, and daughter, Olivia, arrived for a Christmas Eve visit.

"Knowing that Scott and his family were potential witnesses, Joe and Michele shot them," Pavlovich wrote. "Joe shot Scott with the 9mm (once); he then shot Erica at least (once) with the 9mm and then turned his attention to Olivia and Nathan. He shot them both in the head (once), killing them."

As we all know, there ARE maniacs among us. They can walk, talk, dress, and from all outward appearances pass as normal human beings. And it isn't until one of them says something as dumb as calling a 9 mm a "large caliber pistol" that we become aware of their lunacy.

LIBERALS SING 'HUCKELUJAH'

by Ann Coulter

"All I want for Christmas is for Christians to listen to what Mike Huckabee says, rather than what the media say about him. The mainstream media keep flogging Huckabee for being a Christian, apparently unaware that this "God" fellow is testing through the roof in focus groups.

Huckabee is a "compassionate conservative" only in the sense that calling him a conservative is being compassionate.

He responded to my column last week -- pointing out that he is on record supporting the Supreme Court's sodomy-is-a-constitutional-right decision -- by saying that he was relying on the word of a caller to his radio show and didn't know the details of the case. Ironically, that's how most people feel about sodomy: They support it until they hear the details.

First, I'd pay a lot of money to hear how a court opinion finding that sodomy is a constitutional right could be made to sound reasonable. But the caller had the right response when Huckabee asked him, "What's your favorite radio station?" So he seemed like a reliable source.

Second, Huckabee's statement that he agreed with the court's sodomy ruling was made one week after the decision. According to Nexis, in that one week, the sodomy decision had been the cover story on every newspaper in the country, including The New York Times. It was the talk of all the Sunday news programs. It had been denounced by every conservative and Christian group in America -- as well as other random groups of sane individuals having no conservative inclinations whatsoever.

The highest court in the land had found sodomy was a constitutional right! That sort of thing tends to make news. (I was going to say the sodomy ruling got publicity up the wazoo, but this is, after all, Christmas week.)

So this little stretch-marked cornpone is either lying, has a closed head injury, is a complete ignoramus -- or all of the above.

Huckabee opposes school choice, earning him the coveted endorsement of the National Education Association of New Hampshire, which is like the sheriff being endorsed by the local whorehouse.

He is, however, in favor of school choice for kids in Mexico: They have the choice of going to school there or here. Huckabee promoted giving in-state tuition in Arkansas to illegal immigrants from Mexico -- but not to U.S. citizens from Ohio. "I don't believe you punish the children," he said, "for the crime and sins of the parents."

Since when is not offering someone lavish taxpayer-funded benefits a form of punishment? That's almost as crazy as a governor pardoning a known sex offender so he can go out and rape and kill.

Huckabee claims he's against punishing children for the crimes of their fathers in the case of illegal immigrants. But in the case of slavery, he believes the children of the children's children should be routinely punished for the crimes of their fathers.

Huckabee has said illegal immigration gives Americans a chance to make up for slavery. (I thought letting O.J. walk for murdering two people was payback for slavery.)

Just two years ago, Huckabee cheerfully announced to a meeting of the Hispanic advocacy group League of United Latin American Citizens that "Pretty soon, Southern white guys like me may be in the minority." Who's writing this guy's speeches -- Al Sharpton? (Actually, take out "Southern" and "white," and I agree with Huckabee's sentiment).

He said the transition from Arkansas' Southern traditions would "require extraordinary efforts on both sides of the border." But, curiously, most of the efforts Huckabee described would come entirely from this side of the border. Arkansas, he pledged, would celebrate diversity "in culture, in language and in population." He said America would have to "accommodate" those who come here.

All that he expected from those south of the border was that they have a desire to provide better opportunities for their families. Basically, we have to keep accommodating everyone but U.S. citizens.

For those of you keeping score at home, this puts Huckabee just a little to the left of Dennis Kucinich on illegal immigration and border control. The only difference is that Kucinich supports amnesty for aliens from south of the border and north of Saturn.

In a widely quoted remark, Huckabee denounced a Republican bill that would merely require proof of citizenship to vote and receive government benefits as "un-Christian, un-American, irresponsible and anti-life," according to the Arkansas News Bureau. Now, where have I heard this sort of thing before? Hmmm ... wait, now I remember: It was during the Democratic debates!

In his current attempt to pretend to be against illegal immigration, Huckabee makes a meaningless joke about how the federal government should track illegals the way Federal Express tracks packages. (Can a Mexican fit in one of those little envelopes?)

In other words, Huckabee is going to address the problem of illegal immigration by making jokes. It's called leadership, folks.

Huckabee confirms for liberal TV hosts their image of conservatives as dorks by bragging about how cool he is because he "likes music." What's he doing -- running for president or filling out his Facebook profile? Arkansas former fatty loves to make jokes and play the bass guitar. Remember what happened to the last former fatboy from Arkansas trying to be "cool" by liking music? I'll take "Stained Dresses" for $400, Alex.

According to Huckabee, most people think conservatives don't like music. Who on earth says conservatives don't like music -- other than liberals and Mike Huckabee? This desperate need to be liked by liberals has never led to anything but calamity.

Huckabee wants to get kids involved in music at an early age because he believes it leads to a more balanced and developed brain. You know, as we saw with the Jackson family. Maybe someone should tell him the Osmonds are voting for Romney.

He supports a nationwide smoking ban anyplace where people work, constitutional protection for sodomy, big government, higher taxes and government benefits for illegal aliens. According to my calculations, that puts him about three earmarks away from being Nancy Pelosi.

Liberals take a perverse pleasure in touting Huckabee because they know he will give them everything they want -- big government and a Christian they can roll."

The mere fact that dolts such as Huckleberry and Kucinich can still get elected to public office speaks volumes about the continuing power of the liberal media. Sure libs will vote for them but convincing Conservatives as well?

Boggles.

Cue Twilight Zone Music

"...a police source told the Chronicle that a footprint was found on a metal fence surrounding the enclosure, leading to speculation that someone climbed it, dangled an arm or leg over it and Tatiana grabbed the limb and used it to help climb out.

Also, pinecones and sticks that may have been thrown at the tiger were also found in the moat, according to the paper.

Hanna also wondered if visitors might have been goading the animal or even helping her get out by putting a board over the moat.

"Were they taunting the animal? Were they throwing things that were making it angry?" he asked."

Yes. The Incredible Hulk was on hand to dangle a limb and assist the tiger in escaping. Right after the board-that-then-disappears trick didn't work. And before you go, figure out the following for me will ya...

"It was not the first attack on a human involving Tatiana. Last December, she ripped the flesh off a zookeeper's arm while she was feeding him for the public through the bars of her cage."

CLINTONS, CASH & CHUTZPAH

December 27, 2007 -- "Former President Bill Clinton, in his role as public point-man for wife Hillary's presidential campaign, has taken to carrying on about supposed evils of wealthy political candidates financing their own campaigns.

And the wealthy politician he finds particularly problematic is none other that Mayor Bloomberg - whose possible independent run for the White House is casting a shadow over former First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton's own quest for the presidency.

Self-financed campaigns "violate the spirit of campaign-finance reform," the ex-prez told a crowd in Iowa, as quoted on the Web site politico.com.

Moreover, he added, the Supreme Court's upholding of limitless self-financed campaigns means "that the wealthier have more right to freedom of speech than the rest of us."

Now this is pretty remarkable stuff - on several levels.

For one thing, Bill Clinton in recent years has been particularly fond of including himself among the ranks of the wealthy - and rightly so, given his $8 million book advance and his six-figure public-speaking fees.

But he does so only when bemoaning President Bush's tax cuts, saying that wealthy people "like myself" don't deserve such help.

Now, of course, he's singing a different tune - he and Hillary are just a couple of just-plain-folks working stiffs.

As if.

For that matter, Clinton's concern about self-financed campaigns by rich office-seekers was nowhere to be seen when Hillary ally Jon Corzine essentially bought himself a U.S. Senate seat from New Jersey - and then the state's governorship, as well.

And it was AWOL in 2004, when another Democrat, John Kerry, funneled millions from his rich wife's bank account into his presidential campaign.

But "Clinton" has long-since been a crossword-puzzle clue for "hypocrisy" - and, anyway, it's that bit about violating "the spirit of campaign-finance reform" that's really amusing.

The spirit of campaign-finance reform?

Bill and Hillary Clinton?

These would be the same people who just three months ago were forced to refund $850,000 in donations from Norman Hsu - one of Hillary's biggest campaign bundlers - after it came out that he'd been a fugitive for 15 years on charges of defrauding investors.

(Though campaign officials insisted they had "no way of knowing" anything was suspect, it turned out that the California Democratic Party had passed on concerns that Hsu was involved in shady business, only to be reassured by Team Clinton that he was "completely legit.")

And the same people who were at the heart of a campaign-finance scandal - the 1996 Clinton-Gore re-election - that was forced to return millions in illegal gifts.

Clinton's attorney general, Janet Reno, refused to appoint a special prosecutor - sitting for two years on an explosive report by her chief investigator, Charlie LaBella, that charged a cover-up of "a pattern of conduct worthy of investigation," including "the calculated use of access" to the White House.

And it was Hillary, of course, who preached the moral imperative of stricter campaign-finance reform - then raised millions in so-called soft money for state Democratic committees (including New York's, which then used much of it for her 2000 Senate campaign).

Her argument at the time: It made "no sense" to "start living under proposals" - i.e., banning soft money - "that are not yet law." In other words, greedily rake in as much as you can until all such donations are banned.

So much for "the spirit of campaign-finance reform."

But you sure have to admire that old Clinton audacity."

As a firm believer in the premise that the human race is in fact more than one specie, it won't be all that long before they re-examine those "stains" on Monica's dress and establish irrefutable scientific evidence leading to the conclusion that Bill Clinton is not even remotely human. There exist evil people who know full well they ARE evil and gloat upon each and every nefarious deed. Pure symbiosis draws them together such as with Bill and Hillary. Like skunks selecting a proper mate.

Everyone Wins Come Buyback Time

More On The Big Wild Pussy's Of Frisco

"The zoo has a response team that can shoot animals. But zoo officials and police described the initial moments after the escape as chaotic."

It does seem that the powers that be are becoming ensconced in pass the buck mode. Simply more proof that a populace disarmed is a populace in deep shit. Cannot wait for the police to arrive when moments count, and can't count on "response teams" either. At the end of the day, its the responsibility of every man to protect himself and his family, something the good citizens of Frisco have willingly dismissed in favor of the all-consuming socialist umbrella that never works when the chips are down.

NRA Lawsuit: New Orleans Gun Owners' Rights Violated During Katrina Firearm Seizures

NEW ORLEANS — "The National Rifle Association has hired private investigators to find hundreds of people whose firearms were seized by city police in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, according to court papers filed this week.

The NRA is trying to locate gun owners for a federal lawsuit that the lobbying group filed against Mayor Ray Nagin and Police Superintendent Warren Riley over the city's seizure of firearms after the Aug. 29, 2005, hurricane.

In the lawsuit, the NRA and the Second Amendment Foundation claim the city violated gun owners' constitutional right to bear arms and left them "at the mercy of roving gangs, home invaders, and other criminals" after Katrina.

The NRA says the city seized more than 1,000 guns that weren't part of any criminal investigation after the hurricane. Police have said they took only guns that had been stolen or found in abandoned homes.*

NRA lawyer Daniel Holliday said investigators have identified about 300 of the gun owners and located about 75 of them. Some of them could be called to testify during a trial, he added.

"Finding these folks has been a nightmare," Holliday said. "That is really the guts of our case — to establish that there was indeed a pattern of the police going out and taking people's guns without any legal reason to do so."

In April 2006, police made about 700 firearms available for owners to claim if they could present a bill of sale or an affidavit with the weapon's serial number.

An attorney for the city and a police department spokesman didn't return a reporter's telephone calls Wednesday.

Alan Gottlieb, founder of the Bellevue, Wash.-based Second Amendment Foundation, said the police department has returned only about 100 of the 1,000 seized guns.

"Obviously, we don't expect the city to find everybody. We only wanted to see a good-faith effort, and that's what the city didn't do," Gottlieb added. "It's a bad example to let them get away with it."

*I suppose that the NO-PD forgot this story: Police Begin Seizing Guns. Or this one: Judge Orders Police to stop seizing weapons. Or perhaps this quote: New Orleans Police Chief Warren Riley said he would confiscate weapons should disaster strike.

And hows about this one:
"Police officers and federal law enforcement agents scoured the city carrying assault rifles seeking residents who have holed up to avoid forcible eviction, as well as those who are still considering evacuating voluntarily to escape the city's putrid waters.

Mr. Compass, the police superintendent, said that after a week of near anarchy in the city, no civilians in New Orleans will be allowed to carry pistols, shotguns, or other firearms of any kind. "Only law enforcement are allowed to have weapons," he said.

Re-writing history as it pleases them. Tossing elderly women to the ground, bursting into homes and threatening the residents. Flat out telling the civilian population that only law enforcement will be allowed to own weapons. Then saying it was all a big misunderstanding, they really just were looking for illegal guns.

And For The Incredibly Inane LIBERAL Headline Of The Month....

Killer Tiger: Was She Provoked?

Troubled cat had history of violence

Police kill 300-pound Siberian tiger after it escapes San Francisco Zoo enclosure, kills 1, mauls 2 others.

"Provoked." "Troubled cat."

Next we'll be hearing that she was on the road to getting her life in order when the tragedy occurred, and soon after that the vicious cat will be referred to as a victim. Big cats are inherently evil. They kill because they enjoy it. This is why they are kept in cages. I know that all of you understand this simple premise but now and again a moonbat steps in by mistake and I'd hate to see them exit without learning at least something.

TIGER KILLS VISITOR AT SF ZOO

December 26, 2007 -- "A tiger jumped a moat and scaled a wall at the San Francisco Zoo yesterday before going on a rampage that killed a young man and critically injured two brothers.

The tiger - a 350-pound Siberian named Tatiana who mauled a zookeeper a year ago - was confronted by police as she was attacking one of the surviving victims.

She then started moving toward the officers and they opened fire with .40-caliber handguns, killing her, said San Francisco police Sgt. Steve Mannina.

"That shooting of the tiger was justified in saving that person's life," said San Francisco fire Lt. Ken Smith.

"We can only guess what occurred here . . . The tiger got out, and that's what we're most concerned about."

The dead man, in his early 20s, suffered neck wounds.

The injured victims - reportedly 19- and 23-year-old brothers - were taken to San Francisco General Hospital in critical but stable condition.

The names of all three - who had been visiting the zoo - were withheld pending family notification.

The fatal attack took place shortly after closing time, just outside the tiger pen, cops said.

After fatally mauling her first victim, the tiger went on to the Terrace Cafe, which is about 300 yards away. That's where she mauled the two brothers."

So then, STILL believe yourself to be safe at a zoo? A zoo that since it's in Frisco of course bans concealed carry for all but the rich and famous, the same city that is still fighting the lawsuit it lost to the 2nd Amendment Foundation.

Kudos though to the arriving officers who kept their cool and killed it with nothing but .40 caliber sidearms. Not that the fohtie can't get the job done but it takes a cool hand to make a steady shot on an approaching big cat.

Police taser urinating man

POLICE have tasered a man after he refused to stop urinating on a shop window in Fortitude Valley this morning.

Officers observed the 24-year-old relieving himself on the shop window in the Brunswick Street Mall about 4.30am and directed him to stop.

When he refused, police arrested the man and he allegedly became violent.

Capsicum spray was deployed but had no effect on the man, and a taser was used to immediately subdue him.

A Bulimba man will appear in court on January 18 charged with public nuisance, obstructing police, and will be asked to make financial restitution for both the taser battery and refills for the capsicum spray.

"To be on the up and up, he'd a been ahead of the game if we just shot him in the bum," an unidentified officer reported, "that's only pennies compared to what we pay for the pepper and taser re-fills so next time we're thinking of first asking a perpetrator which he or she prefers."

Police graduation slogan causes stir

BOISE – Idaho's newest police officers are not being trained to inflict post-traumatic stress, the head of officer training for the state says, despite a slogan to that effect that was featured prominently in the program for the latest police academy graduation.

"Don't suffer from PTSD, go out and cause it," urged the slogan, which was printed above the list of 43 graduates of the Idaho Police Officer Standards and Training Academy's latest basic academy.

"That's not something we encourage or condone," said Jeff Black, executive director of the POST Academy. "It shouldn't have been in there – it was inappropriate."

Black said Ada County Sheriff Gary Raney pointed out the slogan to him three minutes before the graduation ceremony was to begin Dec. 14. "We both cringed," he said, "but at the time we both were happy that the initial slogan of "Kill Those Minority Fuckers And Let God Sort It Out" was mercifully dropped in favor of the newest version, so win-some, lose-some."

Egypt to copyright pyramids

CAIRO (AFP) — In a potential blow to themed resorts from Vegas to Tokyo, Egypt is to pass a law requiring payment of royalties whenever its ancient monuments, from the pyramids to the sphinx, are reproduced.

Zahi Hawass, the charismatic and controversial head of Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities, told AFP on Tuesday that the move was necessary to pay for the upkeep of the country's thousands of pharaonic sites.

"The new law will completely prohibit the duplication of historic Egyptian monuments which the Supreme Council of Antiquities considers 100-percent copies," he said.

"If the law is passed then it will be applied in all countries of the world so that we can protect our interests," Hawass said.

He said that a ministerial committee had already agreed on the law which should be passed in the next parliamentary session, while insisting the move would not hurt Egyptian artisans.

"It is Egypt's right to be the only copyright owner for these monuments in order to benefit financially so we can restore, preserve and protect Egyptian monuments."

In other news, the surviving relatives of Boris Karloff have retained counsel in order to notify Egyptian authorities that the actors' portrayal of Imhotep in the 1932 classic "The Mummy" has been both copyrighted and declared to be the sole property of the Karloff estate as stipulated in his agreement with MGM Pictures, and that any accounts or representations of Egypt, the pyramids, or any dynastic Pharaoh, will be considered infringements of international law with the country of Egypt itself subject to stiff fines and penalties.

An anonymous representative of the estate has reportedly contacted Egypt in an attempt to settle these differences, but remained adamant that if the country does not change its name to African-Sand-Palaces-From Way-Way-Back or for that matter anything but Egypt, multiple lawsuits would begin.

We Get Letters

"Are you a recommender of carrying along X-tra magazines or speed loaders or just a backup gun..."

A back-up gun is oft times referred to as a "NY Reload". With todays wonder-nines and full-capacity firearms of all calibers, it is easy to forget that ANY gun can misfire, jam to all hells, or simply break. And look at it this way; if a 300-pound offense-lineman-wannabe grabs you by the strong side what are you going to do? Thats why I prefer and recommend BUG carry on the weak side. I'm not suggesting a trip to the mailbox calls for strapping on several rigs, but if you are going to be spending time in a bad part of town, or even just want more protection, a Back-Up-Gun may very well be the smartest move you've ever made. As always, its a personal choice, and I'll never tell anyone not wearing a badge how many weapons are on my person and neither should you. Suffice to say that there are times I feel appropriately dressed with extra magazines and/or speedloaders PLUS perhaps a BUG as well.

Concealed, as they do so say, means concealed. Be aware though that some states such as New Mexico allow a permit-holder to carry only ONE gun at a time, so check your local laws before doing so. In fact, check your local laws before doing ANYTHING that has to do with concealed carry of a firearm or lethal weapon.

British Man Brutally Murders Wife, Places Corpse Under Christmas Tree

Police arriving at the home of a retired British school teacher to tell her that her husband was critically injured in a car crash instead stumbled on a gruesome find — the woman's battered corpse stuffed among the presents under the couple's Christmas tree.

Police in West Sussex, England, say Roger Goswell, 66, rammed his car into a tree just two miles from their home, after bludgeoning his wife, Susan, 61, and crudely trying to hide her body beneath the tree, the Daily Mail newspaper reported. Roger Goswell later died at the hospital.

Click here to read the full article in the Daily Mail of London.

Police forced their way into the home when no one answered the door despite a parked car in the driveway.

A spokesman for the West Sussex Police would not confirm the couple's name, but told the Daily Mail, “a murder inquiry has been launched.”

The newspaper interviewed Goswell’s neighbor, Eileen Rogers, who said Susan was “lovely” and “great fun.”

“I can't enjoy Christmas knowing what has happened to that poor woman,” Rogers said."

Oregon Man 'Sends' Holiday Greetings From Afterlife

ASHLAND, Ore. — Even in death, Chet Fitch is a card.

"Fitch, known for his sense of humor, died in October at age 88 but gave his friends and family a laugh recently: Christmas cards, 34 of them, began arriving — written in his hand with a return address of "Heaven."

The greeting read: "I asked Big Guy if I could sneak back and send some cards. At first he said no; but at my insistence he finally said, 'Oh well, what the heaven, go ahead but don't (tarry) there.' Wish I could tell you about things here but words cannot explain.

"Better get back as Big Guy said he stretched a point to let me in the first time, so I had better not press my luck. I'll probably be seeing you (some sooner than you think). Wishing you a very Merry Christmas. Chet Fitch"

A friend for nearly 25 years, Debbie Hansen Bernard said, "All I could think was, 'You little stinker."'

"It was amazing," she said. "Just so Chet, always wanting to get the last laugh."

The mailing was a joke Fitch worked on for two decades with his barber, Patty Dean, 57. She told the Ashland Daily Tidings this week that he kept updating the mailing list and giving her extra money when postal rates went up. This fall, she said, Fitch looked up to her from the chair.

"You must be getting tired of waiting to mail those cards," he told her. "I think you'll probably be able to mail them this year."

He died a week later."

LUXURY TAX

December 25, 2007 -- "They are still by far paying more in luxury tax than any other franchise in major league baseball, but at least the Yankees can appreciate the fact their bill continues to decrease.

According to figures obtained by the Associated Press, the Yanks owe $23.88 million to the commissioner's office in luxury tax for 2007, marking the second straight year their tax bill has dropped.

In computing the luxury tax, the commissioner's office takes the average values of contracts for 40-man rosters and adds benefits.

The threshold for last season was $148 million - teams are taxed at 40 percent for every dollar spent above that number. With a payroll of $207.7 million, the Yankees had $59.7 million on which they could be taxed."

The luxury tax works on the premise that teams with ardent followers...that means you, me, anyone who enjoys a sport enough to support his or her franchise...should also support teams with less than ardent followers. Those poor huddled masses that deserve baseball as much as anyone else, but simply cannot afford it. Or as good an example of it.

Sound familiar?

It should. Football has its cap as well, but its a firm one because the powers that run it want an even playing field without question. Equal, the same, no difference. The wealthy teams shouldn't run away with all the trophies simply because they represent more people who are willing and able to pay more.

Socialism at its best. Artificial equality. Affirmative action for the sporting world. For a nation such as ours, with a population certain of its right to entitlement, there can BE no level playing field ever again.

Even More Christmas'y Stuff

BLACK POWDER REVOLVER BUYING GUIDE

"A cap and ball revolver, as the name implies, fires lead round balls. These are generally several thousandths of an inch oversized and are used without a patch. When pressed into the cylinder they are swaged to the exact size. While balls are the primary fodder, in some situations, conical bullets can be used. However, for the sheer ease of loading and inexpensive shooting, lead round balls make up the bulk of projectiles for cap and ball enthusiasts."

Blast From The Past...Rudy Giuliani On Gun Control

February 24, 1997
NEW YORK (CNN) -- "New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani Monday blamed Florida's "absurd" gun control laws for a Palestinian man's fatal shooting spree atop the Empire State Building.

(Giuliani) said, he hoped the tragedy would help make other cities safer in the long run, by spurring uniform gun control laws nationwide.

"It should be as difficult to get a gun in Florida as it is in New York City," he said, "And if that was the case, then maybe Miami and Fort Lauderdale and about six other cities in Florida would be as safe as New York City."

"Evangelical buying power growing"

Among the items that one could put under the Christmas tree:

• An action figure of Jesus surfing.

• A doll named "Faith" holding a tiny Bible.

• A piece from the Psalm 23 jewelry collection.

Welcome to the world of Christian retail.

Since the 1980s, when the main product was the Bible, the evangelical retail market has soared.

This Christmas there are evangelical Christian toys, DVDs, candies, wines, alarm clocks and books.

The creator of G.I. Joe action figures, Don Levine, is offering a line called Almighty Heroes, featuring Moses, Samson and other Bible characters.

Wal-Mart, the nation's largest retailer, is carrying Christian action figures from One2believe in 425 of its stores.

A "Pick Jesus" T-shirt is available from Amazon.com.

"After 40 years in the business," said Bill Anderson, president of the Christian retail association CBA, "I know that both retailers and consumers always desire creative and fresh ways to express their faith."

The backbone of Christian retail remains the 2,050 stores that are members of the Colorado Springs-based CBA, which was formerly the Christian Booksellers Association.

In 2006, there was a 15 percent rise in the number of CBA retail locations, and sales through the stores and the Christian Retail Channel rose to $4.63 billion, a 16 percent rise compared with 2000, Anderson said.

At Heart & Home Christian Store in Arvada, one of 33 Christian retailers in Colorado, a shopper can find nativity scenes and ornaments.

They can also buy inscribed license-plate frames —"In case of Rapture, this car's yours"— and David and Goliath dolls.

There is an archaeological-themed game called "Lost Bible Treasures," with replica relics kids can dig up.

Becky Lauro, eyeing the Sweet Truth Mints and Turtle Doves chocolates, each wrapped in a verse of scripture, said she probably would not do most of her Christmas shopping at Heart & Home.

She said, however, she's grateful to go into a store where she is not be bombarded by the seemingly inescapable sex and violence marketed at the malls.

"There is nothing in here that would embarrass me in front of my mother and kids," Lauro said."

So then; before this point in time Evangelicals were piss poor hobo's without a dime to their name? Their buying power isn't growing any more or less than anyone's else's, there are merely more products that attract their attention.

Deciphering The Poll

Since on my screen at least, Blogger has mucked the port side poll to all hells, here are the questions that have become unreadable:

Can't wait for Ruger to make some 500's so's outfits like DT can roll out really kickass versions as the handloaders are doing.

Hope to spend some time this week determining precisely how swiftly a 300 lb. hog will succumb after making the acquaintance of these rounds, and no...I'm for once not including a pic of Rosie. Ballistic gelatin is fine, well not really but who wants to start a war over the holidays, but I firmly believe shooting a big ass pig to be a far better simulacrum.
