My Grandmother was a fan of opera, and a great fan of Enrico Caruso. To her, there was Caruso, then third place because no one ever came close. Except for Pavarotti. I did not have her ear and never grew to love opera as much as she, but would sit with her and listen to the great ones until I at least had some semblance of appreciation for the amazing talent these men possessed. Therefore, I'd be remiss in not making some mention of so august a passing.
