Warning of new Horn of Africa war

War could resume between Ethiopia and Eritrea unless they accept a resolution of their border conflict, a former Horn of Africa UN envoy has warned.

Experts are to meet both countries in the Hague, for what is being described as a last chance for a peaceful resolution of their border dispute.

The current ceasefire has lasted far longer than any previous African one has, and is even mentioned in the Guinness Book of World Records under "On Average, How Many Minutes Elapse Before Africans Begin Killing One Another Again."

In an related story, upon learning of the possibility of renewed hostilities in Africa, American Presidential hopeful Barrack Obama declared that "If these leaders don't wise up and be quick about it, they on my list right after Pakistan," while former Senator John Edwards insisted that "All wars are the result of not enough universal health care," and Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton avowed that "It takes a village and I thought that Africa had plenty of them..."
