Local Woman Joins Statewide Campaign Against Violence

Pennsylvania ranks sixth in the nation when it comes to handgun homicides involving children.The fact has frightened some moms into action.Channel Four Action News' Jake Ploeger reported how some moms across the state are battling back.

Hundreds gathered in Philadelphia Wednesday for the kickoff of a statewide program called Moms Against Guns, a grass roots campaign started by a woman in Philadelphia designed to get illegal guns off the streets. A local woman recently joined the fight.

No word yet on the rumor that victims of violent crimes are reportedly uniting to form a nationwide program called People Who Have Been Murdered By Kids Raised By Bad Moms.
