Man who says he's legally blind shoots, stops intruder
GAINESVILLE, Fla. --
Police say 28-year-old Cevaughn Curtis Jr. knocked on the door of Arthur Williams' home around 3 a.m. Friday and asked to be let inside. When Williams refused, police say Curtis pushed the door in anyway. Williams went into his bedroom, called 911 and then shot Curtis in the neck, said Sgt. Barry Kays of the Gainesville Police Department.
Curtis told authorities he went to Williams' residence to buy beer, but it was not clear how well the two knew each other. Curtis was taken to the hospital and later charged with burglary and aggravated battery on a person over the age of 65.
Williams is not currently being charged, Kays said."
I'm not counting on the local yokels getting it right, but there's a call in to determine the caliber, and if at all possible, the platform and cartridge used.
Be a great little piece of advertising.
