Forbes Backs Julie...

Gun owners finally get to see just how much of a "friend" old Steve really is.

Republican ex-mayor of New York City Rudolph Giuliani won backing for his 2008 presidential bid from billionaire publisher Steve Forbes, who will also help lead his campaign, Giuliani's team said.

Forbes, editor-in-chief of Forbes Magazine which publishes an annual list of the world's richest people, will act as co-chair on the national campaign and as senior policy advisor to Giuliani, who is favorite to win his party's nomination for the presidency early next year.

"Sorry, Steve. Back when you were campaigning, you touted yourself as a friend of gun owners.

You've just shown us you consider us unimportant and expendable if abandoning us will help advance your true priorities."

Thanks to The War on Guns where David had the above to say about turncoat Steve, and lets face it; the guy looks so weird it was dollars to doughnuts he WAS. I fully understand the fact that the Forbes beancounters grabbed ugly Stevey by the collar and told him to start funneling some cash into the Julie Annie coffers, and by doing so hitch his wagon to what appears to be a rising star, but sorry, Mr. Forbes...

Rudi is anti-2nd Amendment, anti-life, pro-gay, and has zip-zilch on his resume with regards to international relations. Yes, the Mayor of NYC has more on his plate than most Governors do, but being tough on crime shouldn't be the single deciding factor in selecting a CHIEF EXECUTIVE.

Worst part of it all?

All Julie had to do was admit that what was good for NYC isn't necessarily whats good for the country. He could have, and believably so, told us that NY was in such a mess that he was forced into employing draconian measures to clean it up, and we'd have welcomed him with open arms.

But he didn't. He didn't because he truly believes that nary a one of us can be trusted with running our own lives, and THAT is what being the Mayor of NY did to him. Surrounded by a welfare state, more criminals than could be counted, a corrupt police department, welfare rolls threatening to reach the heavens, the guy just lost faith in his fellow man. Case closed. In Rudi's world, only the SPECIAL PEOPLE really count, and I pity the country that votes this man into the Oval Office.
